Smolny Debate Society is the debating organisation representing the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Sciences at St. Petersburg State University, Russia. We hold multiple weekly training sessions, and send debaters to national and international competitions held in the World Debating format (British Parliamentary). We are a young, active and vibrant community, representing the best Smolny has to offer, as the first Liberal Arts institution in all of Russia. Our debaters come from all over the world, and represent the whole array of academic disciplines.
